Who we are:
Avid Designs is a premier architectural and construction management firm located in Staten Island. The firm, established by Jeffrey Geary, caters to the tri state area where it has successfully completed over 250 projects in the last 2 years. These projects range from full design build of residential and commercial property to violation resolutions of Department of Buildings, Environmental Control Board, FDNY and HPD violations.

Design Capabilities - All projects are: Site specific, Zone specific, Code specific and most in importantly, Client specific. AVID Designs is uniquely qualified to combine these specific qualities to meet the needs of your project.
Construction Project Management options providing complete oversight of short to long term construction projects.
Violation Resolution - Sometime the worst part of building ownership is dealing with open violations. AVID Designs realizes this and will work with you and the various City or State agencies to resolve these items in an expeditious manner.

Avid Designs is managed by its founder Jeffrey Geary. Jeffrey earned a Bachelors degree from New York Institute of Technology in 1997, majoring in Architecture. For the past 20 years, Jeffrey worked in architectural design and construction management, in Architectural and Design/Build firms in both Manhattan and Staten Island. In 2003, he founded Avid Designs with the purpose of building a firm focused on delivering a full suite of architectural services.

Adaptable: There is no “Typical client”. Each particular client & project brings to the (drafting) table a unique set of challenges & issues. Our first goal is to be Adaptable, to merge the needs & desires of the client with the realities of the site & budget.
Visionary: Some clients know that they want before they call, some clients don’t have any idea what they want or need to make their project an extension of themselves. Our experience & background helps us bring their vision out of the ether & into reality
Integrated: Its one thing to say, “I need a house”, “ Bigger bedroom,” or “More storage space for my facility”; but to integrate all the behind the scenes systems: mechanicals, Building Code, & Zoning Issues is quite another. Our extensive Construction & Architectural background helps mix together the things a typical client doesn’t even know he should be worrying about. We worry about those things so you don’t have to.
Dimensional: A project is like a puzzle; sure you can take a hammer & smash the pieces together or cut them with a scissors to get them to fit but that isn’t going to give you the result you are looking for & not the way we do business. Our experience helps us see the boarders, corners, & all the other layers & dimensions of a project to make certain that in then end, it will be the right solution of each clients particular needs.
